William M. Turner

William M. Turner, 85, of Eaton, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. He was born on November 8, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Robert N. & Marie R. (Jones) Turner. A resident of Eaton since 1989, William was retired from General Motors in Dayton where he was a Job Setter. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict; member of the Dragon Men's Club of Lakengren; the Lakengren Garden Club; Lodge #100 of the Free and Accepted Mason's in New Carlisle, Ohio and the Fairhaven Community Church in Fairhaven, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Turner and sister, Mary K. "Babe" Puslat.

William is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janice R. (Doepke) Turner; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald W. and Mary McRoberts Turner of Dripping Springs, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Travis Beetley of West Milton, Ohio; grandchildren, Deron Turner, Cortlandt Turner, Emma Beetley and Rachel Beetley; sister, L. Jane Andrews of Vandalia, Ohio; numerous niece and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Fairhaven Community Church, 6585 Israel-Somers Rd & St. Rt. 177, Fairhaven, Ohio with Dr. Richard Studebaker officiating. Interment with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held in Dayton Memorial Park, 8135 N. Dixie Drive, Vandalia, Ohio at 2:00p.m., Thursday. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Homes, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH 45320 and one hour prior to the service at the church.
