William Lloyd Linton, Jr.

William Lloyd “Bill” Linton, Jr., age 87, of Englewood, Ohio, died on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton.  Born on August 30, 1936 in Crawford County, Indiana, son of the late William Oscar & Cecile (Froman) Lynton. 

Bill was a retired Dayton Police officer after 14 years of service.

Bill proudly served in the US Army.

Preceded by his wife, Barbara (Hershey) Linton; siblings, Wanda Sturgeon, Beatrice Hardin, Maxine Hambaugh and Floyd Clifford Linton.

Survived by his companion of 14 years, Angela Shay; children, Rhonda Kay (Craig) Flint, Melissa Ann Holbrook and Samuel Jason (Lisa) Linton; step daughter, Chrissy (Jim) Dempsey; grandchildren, Linda, Matthew, Michael, Timothy, Korben, Sophie and Kat; great grandchildren, Ryan and Bailey; siblings, Chris (Juanita) Linton, Alice Faye (Barry) Adams and Janet Sue (Joe) Cortie; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will have services scheduled with Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana at a later date.  Interment will be held at Riddle Cemetery in Leavenworth, Indiana.
