Wanda Bishop, age 82 formerly of Vandalia, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 23, 1943 in Independence, Louisiana daughter of the late Byron & Bertha Rosetta (Bennett) Robertson.
She is a beloved dear friend of Eric Pullen; much loved mother to Debra (Steve Hobbs) Robertson, Lisa (Philip) Henderson, Tuesday (Rickey) Fleming and Brian (Jenny) Bishop; and cherished “grams” to Jennifer (Dave), Megan (Ryan), Caleb (Kim), Andrew (Christa), Blake (Keisha), PJ (Deonna), Kyle (Shawna), Logan (Jordan), Nick, Heather, Erica (Scott) , Jodi (Roger), Brenda (Robbie), Amber, Logan, Caitlin, Candice (Andrew), Brittany (Jordan), and 26 great grandchildren; she is survived by one sister, Rose Mary Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Walter Bishop, brothers, Melvin “Leo” Raymond, Clyde Goolsby, Larry Robertson and Jimmy Robertson and a very special grandchild, Marissa Henderson.
Wanda loved her family, special dear friends, special family pets “Jackson” and “Sydney” and going to the casinos. Wanda retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in August of 2018 with over 50 years of civil service. She loved all those who crossed her path. She had a great sense of humor and always had a good come back when someone said something she didn’t care for. She was 5 foot 4 and petite but don’t let that fool you, she earned the name, “my little raging Cajun” from family. She loved watching the Cincinnati Reds, Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburg Penguins and Kentucky Wildcats; her soap operas, All My Children and the Bold and the Beautiful; game shows, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
