Scott A. Mowry

Scott A. Mowry, age 63 of Eaton, Ohio and formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Maple Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Eaton. Scott was born on December 1, 1962, in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late George Lovall and Roberta Etoile (Shell) Mowry.

A 1981 graduate of Twin Valley North High School in Lewisburg, Scott was a volunteer for the Lewisburg Fire Department and the Lewisburg Emergency Unit. From 1988 until 1992, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked in Property Management for Matrix Security in Dayton for many years and when Scott wasn’t cheering on the Crimson Tide of Alabama, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katie Mowry in 2014 and his sister-in-law, Cindy Wallace in 2024.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years: Janet S. (Wehrley) Mowry; Son and Daughter-in-law: Levi and Brooke Mowry; Daughter: Steph Mowry; Sister and Brother-in-law: Becky and Bob Givens; Grandchildren: Kaylee and Alex Mowry; Brother-in-law: Paul Wallace; Brother-in-law: Michael Wehrley Nieces: Tiffany (Trey) Ladd, Sara Wallace, and Leah (Aaron) Matthews and Nephew: SFC David Wallace; Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family with arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, Eaton, Ohio.
