Sally Lou Miller

Sally Lou Miller, 81, of Englewood, OH, died, Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Dayton, Ohio. Sally was born on April 16, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Myrl E. and Mabel G. (Appleby) Miller.

Sally was a 1953 graduate of Fairview High School in Dayton and a 1974 graduate of The College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, NM with a Bachelors of Business Administration. She worked in the Ohio Department of Corrections and retired in 1995 from the New Mexico Corrections Department where she was an Administrator for 15 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Sheridan, WY. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She loved to go fishing, hiking and backpacking with her children and volunteered her time with the Girl Scouts. After retiring Sally enjoyed and was a master at researching her family's genealogy.

In addition to her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Dale Clark.

Sally is survived by son, Ken (Rick) Kaplan; daughters, Lyn S. Bennet and Cynthia "Cindy" (Bob) Peterson; sister, Marilyn A. Clark; grandchildren, LynMarie, Jessy, T.J. and Sonia; great grandchildren, Tyler, Brendan, Keaton, Christopher and Ryker.
