Ronny Ponder, Jr.

Ronny Ponder, Jr., age 41, passed away after a lengthy illness at his residence in Richmond, Indiana, on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Born on May 8, 1984 in Greenville, Ohio, son of Ronny & Margaret N. (Dear) Ponder, Sr.

Ronny graduated from National Trail High School, and attended IU East in Richmond, Indiana. He was an avid animal lover and he loved to draw.

Preceded by his mother, Margaret N. (Dear) Ponder; niece, Bailey Lewandowski; maternal & paternal grandparents.

Survived by his father & stepmother, Ronny & Joann Ponder, Sr. of New Paris, Ohio; sisters, Rebecca & Mac Wicker of Hollansburg, Ohio, Shelley & Shawn Swabb of New Madison, Ohio; stepbrothers, Steven & Shannon Sowder and Brian & Amy Sowder; dog sisters, Dory and Anna; special friends, Micah Petty and Susan Hyatt; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio with Jimmy Worley officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Thursday prior to the service.
