Robert B. McCoy

Robert B. McCoy, age 64 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 in Dayton, Ohio at Kettering Health Dayton. Born on September 19, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late George and Doris (Melton) McCoy.

Robert worked as an installer of security and fire systems as the owner of Adaptive Protection. He had served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed good food, reading, listening to music and traveling with his dog Ada. He was an avid collector of precious gems, interesting rocks and had started dabbling in jewelry making. He would often cook and serve meals for those with less access to food, as he always valued feeding his community.

Preceded in death by his Wife of 32 years: Dawn C. (Dunlap) McCoy in 2023.

Survived by his Children: Casey L. Sharp and Gale R. McCoy; Brother: Larry McCoy

A Private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements Entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, Eaton, Ohio.
