Ricky L. "Rick" Westray

Ricky L. “Rick” Westray, 69 of Union, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at his residence. He was born on August 25, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Rudy Calvin and Carol Louise (Waymire) Westray. Rick was a 1973 graduate of Fairview High School and was a retired truck driver for Bekins Van Lines where he worked for over 25 years. Rick loved music and was the music minister and devoted longtime member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Nathan Eric Westray in 2020; and a brother Jeffrey W. Westray in 1986.

Survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Jessica and Stefano LaGotti; brother and sister-in-law: Rudy Calvin “Cal” and Elizabeth Westray, Jr.; granddaughter: Cheyenne Westray; former wife: Sheila Ann Westray; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Polk Grove Cemetery, 9190 Frederick Pike, Vandalia, Ohio 45414 with Pastor Don Tucker officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lewisburg Baptist Church, 608 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with a time of fellowship to follow the service.
