Ralph E. Dove

Ralph E. Dove, age 90 of Brookville, Ohio, formerly of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Spring Hills – Middletown. Born on December 1, 1935 in Port Huron, Michigan, he was the son of the late John H. and Louisa (Campbell) Dove.

Ralph retired from General Motors in Dayton and had also worked for the Marble Cliff Quarries in Lewisburg. In later years, he guided many people through the mine. He was a proud member of the Lewisburg Lions Club. Ralph and Bertie traveled the world, and they loved traveling to Florida where Ralph helped for many years with the Grand Prix race in St. Petersburg. He loved riding his bike, spending time with Florida friends and especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Wife: Roberta L. Dove in 2023 Daughter: Penny Dove; Daughter-in-law: Debbie Dove; Siblings: Yvonne Emerick, Laurence Dove, Glenn Dove, Ardeen Dove, Elaine Baisden; Granddaughter: Jessica Lynn Dove.

Survived by Son: James L. Dove; Daughter: Rhonda K. (Jerry) Downey; Grandchildren: Blake (Meredith) Downey, Jacob Dove, Jessie Downey and Kaylee Downey; Great Grandchildren: Graham and Margot Downey; Nieces, Nephews and a host of friends. Ralph never met a stranger.

A Graveside Service will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery at a future date.
