Peggy D. Deeter

Peggy D. (Pheanis) Deeter, born November 17, 1951, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 71. She was a woman of remarkable wit, a fount of humor, and a generous spirit, making an indelible impression on all those she encountered. Peggy's life unfolded in the Eaton, Ohio, where she spent her formative years. Eventually, she established her roots in Greenville, Ohio, where she resided for most of her life. Peggy's passion for nursing blossomed from an early age-a profession she wholeheartedly embraced. 

With unwavering dedication, Peggy graduated as a registered nurse from Kettering College of Medical Arts in Kettering, Ohio. She devoted a significant portion of her life to the noble calling of nursing, selflessly caring for others. Her heart held a special place for the well-being of hospitalized children and newborns, whom she nurtured with immense love and expertise. 

Peggy's love for animals extended to all creatures, but her Schnauzer pups held a special place in her heart.

Peggy's essence was defined by kindness and compassion. Her heart was incapable of harboring unkind words or judgments. She was an independent thinker and a woman of action, forging her own path in life. Her absence will leave a profound void in the lives of those who cherished her friendship and love.

A private funeral service will be held to honor Peggy's memory.

Peggy leaves behind a legacy of love and admiration, cherished by her mother, Eveline Pheanis of Eaton, Ohio; her brother, Robert Pheanis of Eaton, Ohio; her sister, Stephanie Riffle of Greenville, Ohio; her sister, Linda (Daniel) O'Grady of Orlando, Florida; and her nephew, Joshua Kristoff of San Rafael, California, as well many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Pheanis of Eaton Ohio; her sister Susan Kristoff of West Palm Beach, Florida; and her sister-in-law Janet Pheanis of Eaton, Ohio.
