Paulette I. Evans

Paulette I. Evans, age 81 of New Paris, Ohio died Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at The Brethren’s Retirement Community under the care of Everheart Hospice in Greenville, Ohio. Born on August 15, 1942, in Wayne County Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. & Omah I. (Paulin) Smith. Paulette was a 1960 graduate of Richmond, Indiana High School and a 1986 graduate of the Ivy Tech Nursing Degree. She was a Nurse for 13 years at Urological Care of Richmond, 3 years at Reid Hospital in Richmond and 20 years at Heartland of Eaton. Member of Ampcioa Sorority in New Paris, 4 H Advisor for over 14 years and the Preble County Pork Festival Committee for over 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and enjoyed sharing her love of cooking.

Preceded in death by son: Christopher W. Evans in 1984 and father & mother-in-law: G. Robert & Cleo M. (Thomas) Evans.

Survivors: Husband of 61 years: Larry A. Evans. children: Scott A. & Christy Evans of New Paris, OH; Amy J. & Ned Harter of West Manchester, OH and Kimberly A. & Mike Faler of Ashville, OH; grandchildren: Aaron & Ashley Evans, Tyler & Christa Evans, Alex & Sara Evans, Brandon Evans, Aaron & Shannon Holmes, Britani & Larry Adkins, Ashley Cottingim & Zack Ullery, Joel & Jamie Harter, Aaron Harter, Evan & Amanda Faler, Emily & Austin Wippel; great grandchildren: Adriana Wright, Javier Ramirez, Isa Ramirez, Addy Evans, Easton Holmes, Annie Evans, Leah Evans, Cole Evans, Grayson Evans, Dawson Evans, Clayton Adkins, Jillian Adkins, Suhmer Adkins, Audrey Adkins, Kylah Adkins, Landen Harter, Levi Harter, Charleigh Ullery, Nora Wippel, Owen Faler.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 20, 2023 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, Ohio. The funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Rodney Shelley officiating. Interment will be held at Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
