Paul Michael

Paul Michael, 73, of Eaton, Ohio, died Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Hospice of Cincinnati – Hamilton Campus. He was born on November 24, 1952 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio, son of the late Hubert Russell and Florence Alberta (Gault) Michael. Paul was a 1972 graduate of Eaton High School where he played football and wrestled, going to the state tournament in 1971. Following graduation, Paul proudly served in the Ohio National Guard from June 1972 until November of 1994 where he was called into active duty as an Army soldier during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm Conflict. He retired after 22 years of dedicated service and then went to work at DANA Corporation in Richmond, Indiana and then was a forklift operator for Caterpillar in Englewood until his retirement. Paul owned Eagle Lock and Safe in Eaton for many years and was a member of the American Legion Post 1 in Columbus, Ohio and the VFW Post 7582 in Vandalia, Ohio. Family meant the world to Paul and one of his greatest joys was watching his boys and his grandchildren play sports.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sisters: Marilyn Sue Hileman and Mary Michael; brothers: Steve, Norman, Edward Dean and D. Danny Michael and sisters-in-law: Nancy Ferriell and Mary Jane Thompson.

Survived by his Wife of 53 years: Beth (Ferriell) Michael; sons: Jeff (Amber) Michael and Chad (Amber) Michael; grandchildren: Kayleigh, Drew, Derrick, Madison and Lilly Michael, Nathan Wysong and great grandson: Kolter; sisters-in-law: Connie Michael and Mary Michael; brothers-in-law: David (Barb) Ferriell, Jim (Terri Wilson) Ferriell, Joe Ferriell and Mark (Linda) Ferriell; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Mike Back officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors be held in Preble Memory Gardens near West Alexandria, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
