Monte D. Gardner

Monte D. Gardner, 76 of Eaton, Ohio and formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at his residence. Born on December 2, 1947, in Sidney, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lester R. & Mary M. (Giffin) Gardner. Monte attended Lewisburg school in his younger years and was a 1965 Eaton High School graduate. He attended Defiance College, Brevard College, and Wright State University. He was a retired Sanitarian, Environmental Health Inspector employed at the Preble County, Shelby County, and Montgomery County Health Departments. He moved back to Lewisburg to enjoy being a farmer with cows, goats, and chickens. He loved his cats, dogs, and family. 

Preceded in death by Brother Douglas Yale Gardner in 2021 and Aunt Marvel Arnold in 2006.

He is survived by his Children: Amy Renee Clark in Centerville, Ohio, Marisa Erin (Doug) Hatton of Centerville, OH and Paige Elizabeth Gardner of Dayton, OH. Grandchildren: Cooper Hatton and Kylie Durnbaugh.
