Michael J. "Mike" Lipps

Michael J. “Mike” Lipps, age 70, of New Paris, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 at his residence. Born on October 12, 1955 in Preble County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Emil F. and Virginia L. (Petry) Lipps. Mike retired after 39 years with the USPS in Brookville, Ohio. He was a 1973 National Trail graduate. Mike was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was a loving and caring person who loved spending time with family and friends playing cornhole and euchre. He will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother and Sister-in-law: Vic R. (Barbara) Lipps and Sister: Charlotte L. Tatman; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Robert and Marilyn (Burtch) Holzapfel.

Survived by his Wife of 46 years: Tammy A. (Holzapfel) Lipps; Daughter: Nichole R. (Joe) Bertke of Spring Valley, Ohio; Son: Michael R. (Krystle Johnson) Lipps of New Paris, Ohio; Brothers: Steve (Pam) Lipps of West Manchester, Ohio and Jim Lipps of Eaton, Ohio; Sister: Beverly (Duane) Cruze of Eaton, Ohio; Grandchildren: Carson Lipps, Kaylee Becraft and Lady A; nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
