MARVIN W. CAIN, age 74, of Eaton, OH, died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at his residence. Born on September 10, 1932 in Brookville, Ohio. He was the son of the late Berlin W. & Hazel May (Strasburg) Cain. Marvin proudly served in th U.S. Army during the Korean War. In the 1970's during a fuel crisis, Marvin invented the alcohol still that was called “Born for Corn” which was nationally recognized. He was a farmer for 23 years in Preble County, Ohio. In 1980 he founded Eaton Compressor & Fabrication, Inc., formerly known as, Buckeye Pneumatic. He retired from Harrison Radiator of Moraine, Ohio in 1982. Member of Local # 801 Union of Dayton, Ohio. Member of the 1st Brethren Church of West Alexandria, Ohio. Preceded in death by his daughter: Diane Murray in 1979; brothers: Byron Cain & Lowell Cain in 2002.

Survived by his wife of 53 years: Barbara (Wisener) Cain of Eaton, Ohio. sons & daughters-in-law: Matt & Tina Cain of Eaton, Ohio, Mark & Andrea Cain of Canton, Ohio, Ben & Sherri Cain of El Cajon, California, and Alan Cain of Huntington Beach, California; daughter: Julie Cain of Eaton, Ohio; brothers: Berlin Jr., Keith, Jerry, Danny, Dennis, and Dean; sisters: Wanda and Marleen; grandchildren: Mac, Brittany, Suzanne, Megan, Brandon, Brad, and Nicholas; four great grandchildren; various nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 - 1:00 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Fred Hill officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery with full military honors provided by the West Alexandria American Legion Post Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
