Martha L. White

MARTHA L. WHITE, age 97 of Dayton, Ohio and formerly of Eaton, died Friday, September 29, 2006 at Kingston of Miamisburg in Miamisburg, Ohio. Born on May 25, 1909 in Richmond, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Henderson & Lula V. (Smith) Turner. She was a 1924 graduate of Morton High School in Richmond and was a waitress at Wagner’s Colonial Kitchen and was a clerk at Schwarb’s Drug Store both in Eaton. She attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Eaton. She is preceded in death by her husband: Stanley C. White in 1977; brothers: Bob and Don Turner and sister: Helen Thalls.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James A. and Mardena Pollock of Centerville, Ohio; sister: Thelma Hobbs of Richmond, Indiana; Grandchildren: Diana and Dave Barker of Beavercreek, Ohio and Darren and Molly Pollock of Centerville, Ohio; Great Grandchildren: Nathan Niswonger, Samuel Niswonger and Johnathan Wayne Pollock. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio 45320, with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
