Marilyn L. Dempsey

MARILYN L. DEMPSEY, age 62, of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton following a brief illness. She was born on September 21, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio and was a 1962 graduate of Lewisburg Union High School. She was the bookkeeper for Jim’s Auto Body Shop in Lewisburg which she helped operate with her husband. She was a member of the Lewisburg and Preble County Historical Societies. She is preceded in death by her mother: Loretta Dell(Hoff) Harris in 1973 and her brother: Robert L. Harris, Jr. in 1998.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years: James A. Dempsey; children: James A. & Christy Dempsey, Jr. of Lewisburg, Jack A. Dempsey of Greenfield, Indiana and Sheri L. & David Meeks of Lewisburg; father and step-mother: Robert L. & Josephine Harris of Lewisburg; sister: Patricia Nieman of Maynardville, Tennessee and granddaughters: Lauren & Emily Dempsey.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2007 at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio 45338 with Rev. George Pennington officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 1, 2007 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
