Margaret Ann Yorke

Margaret Ann (Brewer) Yorke, 82, of New Paris, OH passed from this world on Sunday, July 2, 2017. Born on April 1, 1935 in War, West Virginia, daughter of the late Howard & Bertha (Christian) Brewer. She graduated from Big Creek High School. Maggie married William V. Yorke, Jr. on December 3, 1954. Mom worked all her life to take care of her family. When the hard times came, she worked harder. Maggie had worked at Dana Corp., Camshaft Plant in Richmond, IN and was an inspector at International Gear in Euclid, OH.

She beat stage 4 breast cancer but the cure was too much for her. In the end with the onset of dementia and diabetes it simply wore her out.

Preceded in death by sister, Jerri Beach; brother-in-law, Lloyd Beach; brother, William Howard Brewer; nephew, Rodney Mason.

Survived by husband of 62 years, William V. Yorke, Jr.; children, William V. "Bill" Yorke, III, Anna Marie Thayer and Erik Christian (Andrea) Yorke; brother, Joseph (Delores) Brewer; sister-in-law, Debbie Brewer; nieces & nephews on the Brewer side, Diana, David, Amy, Jaime, Trevor, Bill and Kathy; in-laws on the Yorke side, Audrey, Fred, Johnny, Anita and Karen; nieces and nephews on the Yorke side, Jim, Joey, James, Jonathan, Bill, Richard, Mark, David, Michael, Paula, Kim, Angie, Lori and Kelly; grandchildren, Nathan, Connor and Thomas; several great nieces and great nephews; many cousins and friends.

Funeral Services held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Pastor, Mike Messer officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Visitation from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the funeral home in New Paris.
