Kayleen N. Dunker

Kayleen N. Dunker, 70 of Eaton, OH died on Monday, July 1, 2019 at her residence. Born on January 4, 1949 in Greenville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Vaughn Dale & Norma Jane (Scott) Riegel. She retired after 33 years from the Eaton Community School system where she taught special education, third and fourth grades. A 1967 Jefferson High School graduate in New Paris, 1971 graduate of Morehead State University with a bachelor’s in education, member of Salem Lutheran Church in West Alexandria, OH, Alpha Garden Club in Eaton, Bible study at the Presbyterian church in Eaton and Preble County Retired Teachers Association. Preceded in death by her Brother: Kevin B. Riegel in 2016. 

Survived by her husband of 36 years: John P. Dunker; Children: Jeremy E. (Kristy) Dunker and June M. (Robb) Newman; Brothers: Lavon A. (Patti) Riegel and Dwight D. Riegel.  Grandchildren: Avery, Gwenyth, Fletcher, Van, Lola and Luke and a host of nieces & nephews. 

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Salem Lutheran Church, 70 East Dayton Street, West Alexandria, OH 45381 with Pastor Daniel Mershon officiating. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria. Family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the church.
