Janet L. Hardin

Janet L. Hardin, 84 of Eaton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 9, 2021 at her residence. Born on July 28, 1936 in Eaton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Leonard L. & Edith V. (Larsh) Duke. Janet was a 1954 graduate of Eaton High School and a 1956 graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She was an Administrative Assistant for Electro-Cap International in Eaton and was a lifelong member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Eaton, where she was a member of the Women’s Group. Janet was an Honorary member of Omicron Sigma Sorority in Eaton and a member of the Eaton Sister City Group. Janet loved to travel but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her steadfast faith, generous spirit, and loving personality.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Grandson: Joel Ray Rauschenbach in 2003.

Survived by her Husband of 64 years: W. Nelson Hardin; Daughters: Jone (Jon) Rauschenbach, Carol (Bruce) Perry and Julie (Randy) Wood; Brother: Rev. Tom Duke & Jean Hammink; Grandchildren: Jay (Jen) Rauschenbach; Madison Wood and Mark Wood; Great Granddaughters: Frankie and Elena Rauschenbach; numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church, 111 Lutheran Drive, Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Dwight Hanson officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
