James Bradford Conner

James Conner, age 71, of New Paris, Ohio died on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Born on October 18, 1952 in Cynthiana, Kentucky. A graduate of Harrison County High School where he also played basketball, football, and baseball.

He had worked at Kroger in Richmond, Indiana in the Dairy Department for 16 years. Member of the United Food & Commercial Workers Union. James was an avid Pittsburg Steelers Fan and St. Louis Cardinals Fan.

Preceded by his parents, James & Arnetta Conner; grandmother, Clara Lillie.

Survived by his companion of 21 years, Jenice Hammond of New Paris, Ohio; children, Brian (Jessica) Hammond, Kyla (Jeremy) Hammond, and Bradley (Kristi) Hammond; grandchildren, Cadence, Will, Lucas, Makaylen, Jathan, Emilee, Haiven, Lily, Spencer, Harley, Gannen, Tessa, and Zakery; siblings, William (Kimberly) Conner, Sr., Carlotta Conner-Johnson, Joyce Conner, Maria (Tony) Conner-Weathers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M on Saturday prior to the service.
