James A. Marcum, Jr.

James A. Marcum, Jr. age 71 formerly of West Alexandria, Ohio died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Maria Joseph Center in Dayton, OH where he had been a residence for seven years. Born on June 20, 1950, in Preble County, Ohio the son of the late James A. & Emma (Bradley) Marcum. James was a 1970 graduate of Twin Valley South High School and was active in FFA in High School. He worked for the YMCA for 8 years, 15 years at Russ's Market and 5 years for White Allen Chevrolet and the state of Ohio for 5 years.

Preceded in death by wife: Wilma Jean Marcum in 2018; brothers: Jeffery Jay Marcum in 2012 and Jessie Arron Marcum in 2002.

Survived by sister: Cindy (Kenneth) Guthrie of Columbiana, Ohio; brothers: John W. Marcum of Eaton, Ohio and Anthony Marcum of Dayton, Ohio; nieces and Nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Barnes Funeral Home – 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio. The funeral service will be 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor David Spears officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio.
