Jackie L. Music

Jackie L. Music, 85 of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at his residence. Born on June 26, 1940 in Johnson County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Clyde Eugene and Garnet L. (Crider) Music.

Jackie retired from GTE after many years of service. He had served as a volunteer for the Verona Fire Department, a Clay Township Police Officer, Montgomery County Special Deputy, and Montgomery County Court Officer. Member of the Englewood Church of Christ and a member of the NRA. Hunting, trap shooting, fishing, the great outdoors, gardening and mowing were among some of his favorite pastime events. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Wife: Patricia A. "Patty" Music in 2022; Daughter: Dierdra Music Thomas in 2014; Brother-in-law: Bud Burke; Niece: Kimberly Burke.

Survived by his Son: Brent T. (Jennifer) Music; Brother: Rick (Kathy) Music; Sisters: Marsha (Rick) Cantrell and Janice (Melvin) Swain; Sister-in-law: Leah “Wanda” Burke; Grandchildren: Dustin (Brittanii), Dylan (Ryann), Nikki (John), Cassity (Chet) and Harli Dee; Great Grandchildren: Wilson, Willow, Jaelynn, Gunnar, Wesley, Winnie, Hunter, Peyton, Graycen, Oaklee, Penny and Jack. Nieces, Nephews and a host of friends. A special thank you to his favorite hospice nurse, Heather.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio. The Memorial Service will be 12:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
