Jack L. Yount

Jack L. Yount, age 56, of Richmond, Indiana and formerly of New Paris, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at his residence in Richmond after a short illness. Born on January 22, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio he was the son of the late Robert D. & Patricia L. (Clark) Yount. Jack was a 1968 Jefferson High School graduate and had worked for his father at R.D. Yount & Sons Plumbing of New Paris. He served as New Paris Fire Chief and was a member of the New Paris American Legion - Son’s of Legion. Recently he was the Custodian at the Middleboro United Methodist Church in Richmond.

Survived by wife of 18 years: Connie K. (Peden) Yount; Step-Son: Jeff A. Sharp of Richmond, IN. Step daughter & step son-in-law: Kristin & Jack Lathrop of Richmond, IN. Brother & sister-in-law: Dan L. & Becky Yount of Eldorado, OH; sisters: Connie Smith of FL and Robin A. & Keith Kendall of Richmond, IN. 2 step grandsons, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 11, 2006 from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio 45347. Graveside funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, OH with Rev. Fuzzy Lake officiating.
