Gary Lee Jones

Gary L. Jones, age 77, of Greenville, OH and formerly of Eldorado, OH died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Brethren's Home in Greenville, OH. Born on April 9, 1939 in Richmond, IN, son of the late Kenneth W. & Edna Landis Jones. Gary attended Monroe School near Eldorado, OH and Franklin Monroe School near Arcanum, OH. He served in the U.S. Air Force, served as an instructor and truck driver for Pohl Trucking, a licensed Insurance agent for several years, restaurant manager at the Cox Airport in Dayton, OH and retired as manager of the Ponderosa restaurant in Greenville, OH. Member of the Potsdam Church of The Brethren. Preceded in death by his step sister, Alberta Sarver.

Survived by his wife, Janet M. (Dunn) Jones; former wife, Patricia Taylor Jones; son, Kenneth D Jones; two step children; brother, Dean Jones; two step brothers, Delmar Lavy and Dean Allen Lavy; grandson, Aaron Jones; great grandson, Levi Jones; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Brethren's Home, 750 Chestnut St, Greenville, OH 45331. Inurnment will be in the Monroe Cemetery near Eldorado, OH with Full Military Honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
