Gail L. Phillabaum

Gail L. (Heckman) Phillabaum, age 80 of Brookville, Ohio, died Saturday, August 8, 2026 at EverHeart Hospice in Greenville, Ohio. Born on July 27, 1946 in Piqua, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George D. and Bernice I. (Carter) Heckman.

Gail had retired from Iams in Lewisburg and Dayton after many years of service. She had also worked for the BOPA in Lewisburg. She was a Milton-Union High School graduate and had earned her Associate Degree from Sinclair Community College. She loved sewing and making homemade tea, collecting tea pots, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband: Dale E. Phillabaum in 2023.

Survived by her Son: Dana R. (Linda) Phillabaum; Daughter: Dawn E. (Robert) Gibboney; Brother: Eston (Carol) Heckman; Grandchildren: Ashley, Hunter, Victoria, and George; Great Grandchildren: Adilyn and Sawyer. Nieces, Nephews, and many extended family members.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 14, 2026 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg with Pastor Jon Kibler officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
