Elaine Huysman

Elaine Huysman, age 68 of Lewisburg OH died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 4, 2025. Born on April 24, 1957, in Ravenna OH, she was the daughter of the late David Roy & Nancy (Duckworth) Propst and stepfather, Robert Minchin. Elaine graduated from Northmont High School in 1975. She married Keith Huysman on March 25, 1978 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 47 years, Keith, of Lewisburg OH, Son Kyle & Candi Huysman of Verona OH, Son Rory Huysman of Eaton OH, Sister Pam & Steve Rice of Merritt Island FL, Sister June Duarte of Merritt Island FL, and Grandson Ethan Huysman of Verona OH and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Elaine was known to lovingly support her husband, sons, family, and friends when they needed it most. She nurtured countless beautiful plants around the farmhouse and cooked the best cornbread around. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg OH, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at the Hillcrest Tavern, 7073 US Hwy 40.
