Douglas M. Montgomery

Douglas Mason Montgomery age 81 lifelong resident of Eaton Ohio passed away Saturday January 24, 2026 after a brief illness. Born on December 18,1944 in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of the late Willard and Helen (Miller) Montgomery.

Doug graduated in 1962 from Eaton High School and studied business at The Ohio State University. He worked at NCR, Frigidaire and was in the computer business having worked at the Preble County District library for 30 years. He was an avid golfer, loved football and watching his two sons play. He enjoyed keeping football statistics while his brother Martin was head coach for the Arcanum Trojans. He also loved watching his daughters and granddaughters play softball, loved watching movies and spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Wife: Karen Lynn (Meadors) Montgomery in 2013; Daughter: Stacy Lee Ferguson in 2019; Brother: Martin Willard Montgomery in 2022.

He is survived by his Children: Kelly Lynn Montgomery (Mike), Gene Douglas Montgomery (Debbie), Althea Jo Montgomery (Eddy Wong), and Mason Montgomery. 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Douglas leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories....

A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Olde Schoolhouse Vineyard & Winery, 152 Ohio 726, Eaton, Ohio.
