Dinah Dale McQueen, age74, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at her home in West Alexandria, Ohio, surrounded by her beloved family. Born Dinah Dale Carr on February 25, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio, she lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
A 1972 graduate of Twin Valley South High School, Dinah furthered her education in Dayton, Ohio, focusing on business and cosmetology. Her career was a testament to her dedication and entrepreneurial spirit, owning and operating the Designer's Inn in Eaton, Ohio, for 21 years. Through her work, she built enduring relationships with clients whom she regarded as dear friends, always generous with her time and kindness.
Dinah's personality was defined by her deep care for others; she was a good and faithful friend who loved and nurtured everyone she met. A lifelong member of the Eaton First Church of God, her faith was a guiding force throughout her life.
Her memory is one of determination and love. She firmly believed there was nothing in this world she couldn't do and never ceased trying. Above all, she adored spending time with her family, offering them the priceless advice to "Just do the right thing," a testament to her integrity and moral compass.
Dinah is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, R. Jason and Sharon McQueen, and James K. and Kelly McQueen; her sisters, Donna Gail Baker and her husband Teddy, Nona Sue Williams, and Rhonda Lue Maggard and her husband Doug; She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren Maddyn (Frank) Becerril, Gage McQueen, Jayda (Aaron) Clark, Jacey McQueen, and a great-granddaughter soon to arrive. Her extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were touched by her love.
Dinah was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Margaret (McQueen) Carr; her beloved husband of 39 years, Ricky Z. McQueen; and her brother-in-law Joey Williams.
A visitation honoring Dinah's memory will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Eaton First Church of God, located at 601 East Lexington Rd., Eaton, OH 45320. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 PM, with Pastor Aaron Holman officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home in Eaton, Ohio.
