David Allen Bowman, age 84, of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Everheart Hospice in Greenville, Ohio surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 14, 1941 in Brookville, Ohio, son of the late Garrett & Helen (Albrech) Bowman.
David graduated in 1959 from Lewisburg Union High School. He retired after 30 years at General Motors in Dayton, Ohio. He also worked as a security guard for Neaton Auto Products in Eaton, Ohio.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, archery, and mushroom hunting.
Preceded in death by his sister, Collette Hall; brother-in-law, Chet Hall.
Survived by his wife of 17 years, Glenna Bowman; children, Karen (Doug) Cook, Alan (Lori) Bowman, Kim (Joe) Pitcox, Pam (Gary) Burnside, Patsy Prestel, and Jimmy Bunger; brother & sister-in-law, Gary & Shirley Bowman; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; friends for 65 years, Darryl & Helen Peters; fishing buddy, Richard Howe; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank the Lewisburg Emergency Unit and Everheart Hospice of Greenville, Ohio for all their love, care and support.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio. Inurnment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio.
