Darlene Fay Overholt

Darlene Fay (Marburger) Overholt, age 75, beloved mother and grandmother passed away, at her home on March 20, 2026 at 2:14 A.M., surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Leaving a void that her family cannot fill.

Darlene was born in Lewisburg, Ohio on February 9, 1951 to William and Freda Marburger. She attended Twin Valley North HS. Darlene wore many hats, she served her community by running with the Lewisburg Fire/EMS, she was a beautician for 19 years, worked for a family practice and ended her career working for Dayton Children’s for 26 years.

Darlene was a devoted mother to her children, Jeffery and Amanda. They were her pride and joy; she always said that their birth changed her life for the better. Well because she got a two for one deal, and they felt that in the love and support that she gave to them every single day of their lives.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, William & Freda Marburger; husband, Arnold Overholt; sister, Gloria Dyke.

She is survived by her children, Jeffery Ricketts, Sr. (Jessa Mooney) and Amanda Klofta (Eric Clearmont); grandchildren, Jeffery Ricketts Jr., Emma Strutton, Olivia Ricketts and Christian Clearmont; bonus grandchildren, Dylan Myers, Julia Ogles, Dylan Clearmont, Dalton Clearmont, Logan Clearmont; brothers & sisters, William (Linda) Marburger, Shirley Burkett, Paul Marburger, Joann (Don) Gray, Ed Marburger; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; special friends, Greg and Jacky Stubblefield. Everyone who knew her will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Dan Williams officiating. Interment will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Twin Township, West Alexandria, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
