Caryl L. Thomas

Caryl Lorraine Thomas, 94, of Eaton, Ohio died Saturday, February 18, 2017 in Eaton. Born on April 6, 1922 in Union County, IN, she was the daughter of the late John T. & Velva Ruth (Spradling) Lindsey, Sr. Caryl was a Legal Secretary for Attorneys Joe Markey, Julian Clark and Chuck Hubler, retiring in 2006. She was a 1940 graduate of Dixon High School and member of Sugar Valley United Methodist Church. Member of Internos club and Tri-Fri Dixon Girls.

Preceded in death by her husband: Robert H. Thomas in 1990; infant daughter in 1963; siblings: Lillian E. Whitesell, Lois Buck, Willis J. Lindsey and John Thomas "Jack" Lindsey, Jr.

Survived by her son: William L. Thomas; daughters & sons-in-law: Ruth Ann (Keith) Jamison, Pamela S. (Jeffrey) Dare and Mary Jane (Mark) Vanderput; brothers: Eugene (Jean) Lindsey and Kenneth (Virginia) Lindsey. 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Gerry R. Sadai officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to service on Friday.
