C. Waldo Zimmerman

CHARLES W. “WALDO” ZIMMERMAN, age 80 of Eaton, Ohio, and formerly of Lewisburg died Saturday, September 2, 2006 at his residence. Born on August 3, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles & P. Hazel (Heeter) Zimmerman. He was a 1944 graduate of Lewisburg Union High School and a WW II veteran in the United States Army Air Corp. He was a bus driver for the Lewisburg Schools for several years retiring in 1985 and had also worked for the Lewisburg Lumber Company and was an avid farmer. Member of the American Legion Post # 665 in West Manchester, Ohio and Trinity Lutheran Church in Lewisburg. He is preceded in death by his son: Michael Zimmerman in 1995 and grandsons: Stanley W. “Andy” Androsky, Jr. in 1993 and Brian Curtis Androsky in 2000.

Survived by his wife of 19 years: Marilu (Begley) Zimmerman; Daughters & Son-in-law: Dinah Zimmerman & Duke League of New Paris, Ohio, Margie & Gary Shillingburg of Cincinnati and step-daughter Barbara Nussa of Houston Texas; Son and daughter-in-law: Steve & Penny Zimmerman of Eaton and step-son & daughter-in-law: Mark & Tonya Begley of South Carolina; Grandsons: Garrett and Jason Shillingburg; great grandsons: Tyler & Peyton Shillingburg; step granddaughters: Kristen Nussa and Brook & Brittany Begley.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home- 411 North Commerce St.- Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. Brent L. Cavendish officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
