Arnold Dale Overholt

Arnold Dale Overholt, age 72, of Lewisburg, Ohio, was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at his residence. Born on August 18, 1934 in Pomona, CA he was the son of the late Abraham & Etna (Harris) Overholt. He moved to Scotsville, KY in 1946 and to Lewisburg in 1968. Arnold served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He was employed at M&M Precision Systems (1969-1991), West Carrollton, OH. And retired from Deerfield Manufacturing of Mason, OH in 1999 as Master Tool & Die Maker. Owner/Operator of Rodax, Inc. (1969-1992) which actively participated in Research & Development at the University of Dayton Magnetic Research Department (1980’s) involving use of the permanent magnet in motors and generators where the magnets control and focus energy, use in auto starters, use in airplanes, missiles, various medical technologies and even in microwave tubes which led to the development of microwave ovens. Rodax, Inc. was also partnered with Dr. Seasly and Dr. Muelhousen of Kettering Lab to custom design prosthesis for special needs patients. Member of The Church of the Living God in Union City, IN. Participated in missionary work in Beattyville, KY. Avid supporter of Lost and Found Ministries in Dayton, OH and The Hope House in Middletown, OH. Operated in the Gift of Helps as a cheerful giver as led by the Spirit of the Lord.

Preceded in death by his 1st wife: Cleo E. (Sauder) Overholt in 1993; son: Ronald D. Overholt in 2004 and sister: Dorothy Harrison McCollough in 1989 .

Survived by his wife: Darlene (Marburger) Overholt, married in Lewisburg, Ohio on September 28, 1996; daughter: Letha L. Braswell of Tipp City, OH; son: Jeffrey Ricketts of Lewisburg , OH; daughter: Amanda Ricketts Klofta of Brookville, OH; daughter-in-law: Cheryl Overholt of Richmond, IN; brothers: Harris Dean Overholt, Scottsville, KY and Gary Channie York of Anderson, IN; sisters: Trina Overholt Walker of Edmonton, KY and Starlene Overholt Bartley of Glasgow, KY; 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Overholt Hobbs, Abraham Isaac Jaros and Jamie Overholt Samad; 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Barnes Funeral Home- 411 North Commerce Street- Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Dan Hill officiating. Interment will be held in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens - Brookville, OH with full military honors provide by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
