Angelia G. Stapleton York

Angelia G. Stapleton York, age 61, of New Paris, Ohio died on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on January 27, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a 1983 graduate of National Trail High School and from MCJVS in cosmetology.

She had worked as a CNA and DSP and had worked at Empowering People. She was a great mother who enjoyed cutting the family’s hair, loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She enjoyed laughing and was a loving woman who tried to take care of everyone.

Preceded by husband, Jerry York; father, Billy M. “Red” Stapleton; brothers, Billy H. Stapleton and John J. Stapleton.

Survivors include her children, Billy York, Sonja K. (Ryan Reynolds) York and Thomas (Jackie Hamilton) York; grandchildren, Jerrica Miller, Kameron Nelson, Grayson Reynolds, and Caleb Reynolds; fur baby, Regal; mother, Gail Ann (John Friedel) Friedel; sisters, LaWanna (Lynn Loxley) Loxley and Judy (David French) French; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
