Alice Mae Mobley

Alice Mae Mobley, age 93 of West Alexandria, OH died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, OH where she had been a resident since 2002. Born on May 27, 1914 in Marion County, IN she was the daughter of the late John E. & Flora A. (Willsey) Byland. Alice was a Bookkeeper at Hamond’s IGA for 20 years and a member of Salem Lutheran Church in West Alexandria, OH. Preceded in death by sisters: Alma W. Meador in 1990 and Mary Fallowfield; brothers: Richard Byland in 1993 John Byland in 2003, and Leland Byland in 1990. Her 1st husband: Walter H. Heather died in 1938 and 2nd husband: Roy A. Mobley in 1992; daughter-in-law: Eleanor (Curlew) Mobley in 2003.

Survived by son & daughter-in-law: James C. & Barbara Mobley of Vandalia, OH; 2 grandchildren: Deborah H. Jensen of North Carolina and James R. Mobley of Greenville, OH. 5 great grandchildren: Mary and Nick Mobley, Dominic, Alexander and Ryan Jensen; nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007 - 2:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320 with Rev. Daniel Snider officiating. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens - West Alexandria, OH. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 20, 2007 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
