Aaron Ray Smith, 62 of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 in Orlando, Florida. He was born on August 20, 1963 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Vernon and Joyce (Crews) Smith. He attended Twin Valley North and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves. He loved his God, hunting, fishing, Ohio State Football, the Cincinnati Bengals and vacationing but most of all he adored his children, grandchildren and the many foster children he cared for over many years.
He is survived by his Wife of 11 years, Mary Ruth (Dyer) Smith; Children, Brittany N. (Bradley) Bowling, Leslie J. Smith (Jon Weaver), Jessica L. (Matthew) Sharrett, Aaron Ray Smith, II, Michael B. (Macy) Loranzan, , Isabell (Satterthwaite) Cohn, Jasmine R. (Sita Collins) Satterthwaite, Nick J. (Tiffeni Smith) Satterthwaite, Sammie Jo Ramsey and Brittany (Kyle) Dole; Siblings: Anita Barker, Teresa (Mark) Dooley, Renee (Scott) Woods, Phillip (Kathy) Smith; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: C. Ray & Marilyn R. (Miller) Dyer; grandchildren: Allison, Hannah, Hunter, Brooklyn, Christian, Ava, Liam, Landon, Lucy, Braxton, Luka, Lincoln, Owen, Jackson, Oliver, Genesis, Hezekiah, Leviticus, Hadassah, Gabby, Masen, Luca and Rosalina and special nephew, Wyatt Sievers and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Phillip Smith officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home and request that anyone attending please wear something Ohio State, Cincinnati Bengals and please don’t wear a tie.
