Willard D. "Bill" Floyd

Willard D. “Bill” Floyd Jr., age 61 of New Paris, Ohio, died Thursday November 8, 2018 at his residence.  Born on June 19, 1957 in Darke County, Ohio he was a 1975 graduate of Greenville High School. Bill operated as the New Paris D.J. and volunteered for many non-profit benefits. He served on the New Paris Police Department from 1987 to 2001 and retired as the Chief. Currently he was the Assistant Manager of Truck Repair Center at T.A. Travel Center in Eaton. Active member of the New Paris Apple Fest Committee; Sons of the American Legion and New Paris Masonic Lodge. 

Preceded in death by father: Willard D. Floyd, Sr.; grandparents: Willard & Anna Floyd and Ralph A. & Irene Gauvey; brother: John C. Floyd; nephew: Eddy Floyd and father-in-law: Charles Creech. 

Survived by his wife: Kathy (Creech) Floyd; mother: Mary Kathleen (Gauvey) Floyd; mother-in-law: Ruth Creech; Children: Billy Floyd (Tammy), Angela Floyd, Jason Niswonger (Felecia), Amanda Fannin (Mark), Christal Niswonger (Dexter) and Jeremiah Niswonger; Grandchildren: Sarah Weyant, Jessi Reese, Floyd Fannin, Alexis Niswonger, Erica Fannin, Tatumn Melling, Breanna Melling and Eli Niswonger; Great grandchildren: Prestyn Richards and Grayson Fannin; Brothers, Sisters and in-laws: Robert Floyd (Becky), Edward Floyd (Chris), Joe Floyd, Irene Wirrig (Tony), Joyce Clopp (Bill), Jean Anderson (Jerry), Charles Creech Jr. (Gloria), Kenneth Creech, Jeff Creech (Shari), Tim Creech, Michael Creech (Diane), Janet Miller (Rick), and Mary Brecha (Dave). 54 nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grand nephews and many friends. 

Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM at the funeral home with the interment in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH.
