WALTER R. CRAIG, 93, of Eaton, Ohio died Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. Born on July 28, 1917 in Lansing, Michigan he was the son of the late Walter R. and Olga Fay (Markley) Craig, Sr. A 1935 graduate of Morton High School in Richmond, Indiana; he attended Earlham College and graduated from Michigan State University. Walter was an auditor for the Federal Home Loan Bank Board for the state of Ohio. He was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army Infantry and was a 60 year member of the McMakin Lodge No. 121 F & AM of Mt. Healthy, Ohio. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, June Wolf and his first wife, Helen (Rinehart) Craig.

Walter is survived by his wife of 21 years, Margaret I. (McAhron) Craig; daughter, Penny Bonar of Huber Heights, Ohio; sons and daughters-in-law, Marlon (Dena) Craig of Eaton and Rohn (Claudia) Craig of Centerville, Ohio; grandchildren, Nichole Bonar, Taryn Frye and Jared Bonar; Corrine, Jason, Heather and Austin Craig; Alisha Arrigo, Katie Wean, John and Zac Craig; six great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320 with Pastor David McClary officiating. Interment will be held in Earlham Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana with military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
