Vola Bud Hargis

VOLA “BUD” LEE HARGIS, age 85 of Lewisburg, OH, died Sunday, January 23, 2005 in Lewisburg, Ohio. Born on April 19, 1919 in Sugar Hill, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Lonnie Lee and Irene (Bishop) Hargis. Vola retired in 1971 from the Chrysler Corporation where he was a machinist for 30 years. He was a farmer in the Lewisburg area for most all his life. Member of the Lewisburg First Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by wife of 61 years: Ruth Ailene (Head) Hargis in 2001; sister: Velma Jenkins and brother: Bob Hargis.

Survived by Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Jerry L. Hargis and Jim D. & Bev Hargis both of Lewisburg, OH and John R. & Doni Hargis of Vandalia, OH; Brother: William Hargis of Maggie Valley, NC; Brother-in-law: Herman Head of Cleves, OH; Niece: Kathy Hoffer of Somerset, KY; Six Grandchildren: Debbie, Michael, Becky, Seth, Erica, and Crystal. Two Great Grandchildren: Cassie and Jasmine.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, OH with Rev. George Pennington officiating. Entombment will be held at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens at Brookville, OH.
