Virginia R. Rose

VIRGINIA R. ROSE, age 71, of New Paris, Ohio died Saturday, April 26, 2003 at her residence. Born on June 12, 1931 in Loudon County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Samuel S. & Bessie K. (Arthur) Linginfelter. She was a retired sales clerk at Sears, a 1949 Lenoir City High School graduate, Member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority in New Paris and the Sears Retirees Club. She was active in the fellowship at St. Paul United Methodist Church in New Paris and has been a resident of New Paris since 1955. Preceded in death by Husband: Arzia Mitchell Rose, Jr. in 1990; Granddaughters: Tracy Newman and Monica Kessler.

Survived by Daughters: Kathy Smallwood, New Paris, Ohio, Debbie Tye, Richmond, Indiana, Becky Newman, Hamilton, Ohio, Julie Powell, Richmond, Indiana; Son: Mitchell Rose, Gaithersburg, Maryland; Brother & Sister-in-law: Herbert & Kathleen Linginfelter, Lenoir City, Tennessee; 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2003 - 10:00 A.M. (Ohio Time) at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio 45347 with Rev. LaDonna Clary officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 30, 2003 from 5 to 8 P.M. (Ohio Time) at the funeral Home.
