Virginia Ann Baker

Virginia A. Baker, 84 of West Manchester, OH, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Born on March 8, 1935 in Preble County, OH, she was the daughter of the late Everett & Edna (Shinn) Shell. She had worked for 30 years in the Social Service Department at the Brethren Home in Greenville, OH. She had also worked at the Oakley House Assisted Living in Greenville and Touch of Elegance. A member of the Castine Church; served as a board member of the Castine area food bank. She enjoyed cooking and baking, playing board and card games and interacting with her grand & great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her Husband: Paul J. Baker, Sr.; Son: Paul Joseph Baker, Jr. in 2012; Sisters: Marcia Amabisca and Marjorie Lawson; Infant brother. 

Survived by her Daughter: Dianna (Jim) McDonald; Sons: John (Linda) Baker and Dennis Baker; Sister: Sandy Hall; Brother: Paul “Eddie” Shell and fiancée Betty Brown. Grandchildren: Christina (Tommy) Hoskins, Bradley McDonald, John Everett “Brock” Baker and Alisha (Chris) Basham; 13 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. 

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P. M. on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Castine Church, 624 U.S. Rt. 127, Castine, OH, with Pastor Andrew Costa officiating. Interment will be held in Castine Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P. M. at the church. Arrangements Entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, Eaton, OH.
