Victor Patterson Ross

Victor Patterson Ross, age 95, formerly of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Suites of Walnut Creek in Kettering, Ohio. Born on January 2, 1917 in Union, Miami County, Ohio he was the son of the late Murel & Cora (Patterson) Ross. Vic retired from General Motors after 30 years in the Frigidaire and Delco Air Divisions. He enjoyed working on the family farm in Eaton, camping and boating. In his later years he took great pride in his garden and orchard. He was a member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren.

Preceded in death by wife of 70 years: Edna Avra Ross in 2010. Two infant daughters: Linda Lou and Sandra Sue Ross. Great Grandson: Lane Austin Ross; Brother: Murel Ross Jr.

Survivors: Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Jerry & Karen Ross of Richmond, IN and Dale & Cheryl Ross of Dayton. Grandchildren: Tony Ross and Julie Ross both of Richmond, IN; David Ross of Cleveland, OH, Jason (Amy) Ross of Atlanta, GA; Great Grandchildren: Hanna and Jacob Ross of Cleveland, OH, Thea Ross of Richmond, IN and Jonathan Skinner of GA. Sister: June Etta Austin of Fountain City, IN and Brother: Lewis (Suzanne) Ross of Trotwood, OH.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home 220 East Main Street Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Stan Van Ausdal officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Preble Memory Gardens.
