Veva A. Mikesell

Veva A. (Darrah) Mikesell, age 85, formerly of Eaton, Ohio died Sunday, December 21, 2003 at Pineview Health Care Center in Pineview, Ga. Born on September 4, 1918 in Fountain City, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Osa (Hiatt) Darrah. She had worked at Lewisburg Container and the Lewisburg Pharmacy both in Lewisburg, Ohio.

Preceded in death by her first Husband: Paul I. Green in 1989 and second Husband: Everett H. “Mike” Mikesell in 1999. Brothers: William Darrah, Cecil Darrah, Frank Darrah and Rollie Darrah. Sisters: Ruby York, Ruth Anderson, Martha McCollister and Mary I. Ridge.

Survived by Sons: Gerald L. Green of Hawkinsville, GA, Larry P. Green of New York; Daughters: Eleanor J. Altizer of Hawkinsville, GA, Carol S. Wu of California and Delores J. Horn of West Mancherster, Ohio. Brothers: Robert Darrah of Bentonville, IN and Roy Darrah of Marion, Indiana; Sisters: Barbara Fields of Anderson, IN, Erma McClain of Tennessee and Donna Rodenberg of Cambridge City, IN; 13 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 27, 2003 - 11:00 A.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Raymond Rothwell officiating. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens - West Alexandria, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Friday December 26, 2003 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
