Verna Irene Siller

VERNA IRENE SILLER, age 74, formerly of Holly, Michigan and Holiday, Florida died Monday, March 29, 2004 in Inverness, Florida. Born on October 27, 1929 in Hamilton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ulace J. & Gladys (Neanover) O’Dell. She was a 1947 Dixon High School graduate and a 1950 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing - Hamilton, Ohio. In 1989 she retired after 36 years of Nursing at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital - Pontiac, Michigan. She had lived in Florida since 1989. Member of the American Nurses Association, collector of antiques and ink wells, avid quilter and needleworker. Preceded in death by son: Vernon Earl Siller in 1979; nephews: James R. O’Dell in 1970 and Heath O’Dell in 1995.

Survived by daughter and son-in-law : Laura & Ray Zapatka of Carol Stream, Illinois; sisters & brothers-in-law: Ellen & Mike Marcho of Inverness, FL, Geneva O’Dell and Loretta Shumard both of Greenville, Ohio; brothers & sisters-in-law: Lloyd & Sheila O’Dell of Floral City, FL, Melvin & Linda O’Dell and Duane & Delores O’Dell both of Eaton, Ohio; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Friday, April 2, 2004 from 12 to 2:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio. Graveside service will be Friday, April 2, 2004 - 2:30 P.M. at Preble Memory Gardens - West Alexandria, Ohio with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating.
