Thelma A. Meeks

THELMA A. MEEKS, 66, of Brookville, Ohio, died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at her residence. She was born on August 2, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late William & Rose (Hamlet) Whitaker. Thelma attended Stivers High School in Dayton and graduated in 1963 from Northmont High School in Englewood, Ohio. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy R. Meeks in 2002 and her sister, Shelvie "Jean" Combs.

Thelma is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Malinda and Joe Blust and Deborah and Martin Tucker; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sheri Meeks, all of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Kyle, Derek and Katey Booth; Taylor and Taryn Tucker; Jessica Rudnicki; Kayla, Nate and Abby Blust; brother, Pharris "Doug" Whitaker of Brookville; sister and brother-in-law, Deloris and Tom Adkins of Arcanum, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce St., Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Vandalia, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
