Skye Alexandria Getter

SKYE ALEXANDRIA GETTER, age 6, of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Children's Hospital in Dayton, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 25, 2003 in Dayton, she was a student at Tri County North Elementary. Skye was a true warrior, who woke up each morning ready to fight this battle. There was not a single person who met Skye who was not somehow touched by her incredible strength and beauty. She will be missed deeply by her family, friends and community.

Skye is survived by her parents, Kirk & Angela (Ermlich) Getter; brothers and sisters, Taylor, Aaron and Patience Getter and Justin Stoner; maternal grandparents, Dennis Ermlich and Kathy & Joe Petkewitz all of Lewisburg; paternal grandparents, Mick & Suggar Getter of Lewisburg; maternal great grandparents, Harry & Millie Simpson of Lewisburg; aunts and uncles, Julie & Allen Todd, Erica Wilmoth & Sean Lucas, Brooke Petkewitz, Joe Petkewitz, Heather & Steve Hern, Robyn & Chakaro Samuels, Breeann Getter and Justin Lehr & Roz Sever; numerous cousins and extended family and dear friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 511 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Rod Brower officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio.
