Scott Allen Shock, 50, of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Dayton, Ohio, following a brief, but serious illness, surrounded by people who loved him. He was born on February 1, 1972 in Dayton, Ohio.


Scott graduated from Eaton High School in 1990 and was a member of the football team. He enjoyed playing games and cards of all kinds, including crossword puzzles, listening to music, especially Dad rock and watching sports. However, no team was dearer to him than the Ohio State Buckeyes football, followed closely by the Cleveland Browns.


Preceded in death by his Father: Gary Lee Shock in 1973; Grandparents: Jesse and Edna Matheny and Everett and Ann Shock; Uncles: David and Phillip Matheny; and Aunt: Barbara Shock.


Scott is survived by his Wife: Amber L. (Tucker) Shock; Daughters: Bayley and Aleksys Shock; Parents: Raymond and LaVerne Tompkins; Brothers: Raymond (Becky) Jr. and Sean (Kimby) Tompkins; Sisters: Pamela (Eric) Mason, and Heather (Jennifer) Tompkins; Uncle: Butch Shock; Nephew: Dillon Mason; Nieces: Isabel Mason, and Savannah Tompkins; many dear family friends and friends who were like family.


A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.


The family would like to thank the care team in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Grandview Hospital for the excellent and compassionate care they provided to Scott and the family in his final days.
