Sang Ho F. Siler

Sang Ho Siler, 47 formerly of New Paris, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020. He was born on November 11, 1972 in Seoul, South Korea. Sang Ho was Adopted by Galen & Connie Siler in 1975. He was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, played on the National Trail Football Team and avid arm wrestler. A 1991 graduate of National Trail High School, served in the U.S. Navy, attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor’s degree in 2009 and master’s degree in 2010. He had worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio and was currently employed at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma for nearly 10 years as IT Program Manager.

Survived by his parents: Galen L. & Constance “Connie” (Breckler) Siler of West Manchester, OH; Jonah D. Smith, whom he considered as a son; sisters: Gwen & Dale Baker, Kathleen & Jim McNerney, Janeen & Marcus Acosta; nieces and nephews: Lacey, Morgan, Zachary, Spencer, Noelle, Sophie, and Letty Mae; other dear close friends:  Jessica A. Smith and her daughter: Jolie Smith, Jana E. Smith; best friend: Doug Peters; his dog: Chocolate.        

Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday, July 10, 2020 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio, with a Celebration of Life following at 12:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Rodney Shelley officiating and military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.        

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the family is requesting that you please wear a facemask if you will be attending the service at the funeral home.
