Sandra Kay Brown

Sandra Kay (Sparks) Brown, age 54, of Franklin, Ohio, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 after an extended illness. Born on March 22, 1952 in Ashland, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Earl & Nancy (Back) Sparks. She worked two jobs, mowing lawns and bartending, in the 1980's to support her family when “Butch” became ill. She worked at Gayston in Franklin, Ohio as a Machine operator in the 1990's. Member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Franklin, Ohio. Preceded in death by her husband of 21 years: George H. “Butch” Brown in 1989; brother: Steve Sparks in 2007.

Survived by son: Michael Brown of Franklin, Ohio; daughter: Nancy Mae Shumaker of Franklin, Ohio; sister: Jo Sparks and Jennifer Sanders all of Grayson, Kentucky; brothers: Earl Sparks and Eddie Gibby all of Grayson, Kentucky; grandchildren: Michael Shumaker and Jessie Shumaker of Franklin, Ohio.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Nein - Barnes Funeral Home - 249 North Main Street - Camden, Ohio with Pastor Charles W. Proud officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, Ohio.
